On July 7, 2023, the Brazilian Chamber of Deputies approved the bill of law which establishes the Tax Reform on consumption and changes some aspects of wealth taxation.
The two required rounds of voting on the bill took place after the presentation of the final text, with the vote being given as follows: 382 votes in favor against 118 votes in the first round and by 375 to 113 votes in the second round.
